ChinaHouse, The Longest Cafe in Penang!

ChinaHouse, the perfect place to go to, comprising of 16,000 square feet with different themes and space to it. ChinaHouse is made up of 2-floors with restaurant, cafe, sipping spirit lounge, live music, art gallery and even retail shop, all in the same space.

Dubbed as the longest cafe in Penang, they’re indisputably serving the best cake in town. Throughout the internet, you’ll found multiple post mentioning they went over ChinaHouse just for their cakes. Unfortunately, I doesn’t have the sweet tooth to have a try on it.

This wasn’t my first visit to ChinaHouse, but this is the first time I have taken photos of it and decided to blog on it.

On the first floor, they have courtyard cafe where it’s outdoor and have some mural painting spotted. 1 of it is this saying about Chicken Breast Sick. I’m not too sure what it’s supposed to mean, but perhaps for body builder enthusiast who consumed tonnes of chicken breast on a daily basis?

Towards the back, where they have this space called Vine & Single. As the name suggest, it’s a wine tasting space. You’re not necessary have to be single to visit this space, of course. Unfortunately, vomiting is forbidden. LOL, just kidding.

Further back, is the famous restaurant and cafe, where they serve the cakes. There are tonnes of cakes on display and it’s easily more than 10 different variations. And if you’ve a sweet tooth and a fan of cake, then you’re in luck.

Location & Contact Details of ChinaHouse

Address: 153, Lebuh Pantai, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang

Price Range: I didn’t really get to try the food there as it was packed with people that day, but I believed the price range is quite reasonable.

How to get there: Located nearby the UNESCO Chew Jetty, you would want to grab an Uber or taxi over as it’s quite hard to get a parking there. If you do drive there, make sure you park in the proper space and also pay the parking metre, otherwise be prepared to get a summon ticket, because Penang Traffic Police is that efficient. Here’s the Google Map link for you.

Here’s the link to their website & facebook for more information.

If you happen to stop by Ipoh, do try out the famous Ong Kee Chicken Rice where the steamed chicken is silky smooth or perhaps the legendary stir-fry noodles stall, Tuck Kee.
