What to order in Ong Kee Tauge Chicken Rice?
You’re in a famous chicken rice shop in Ipoh itself. What to order? Of course is their star dish, the steamed chicken! I had something light before I pop in to Ong Kee Tauge Chicken Rice.
So I ordered just the chicken itself. They served very promptly upon order.
You can see that the chicken itself is glistening with its chicken oil. The meat is incredibly tender, considering it was steamed. Every bite of yours is rich with the taste of simple marinade of the chicken and soy sauce.
And of course not to miss is the bean sprouts. They lightly blanched the bean sprouts and served with soy sauce and white pepper. It’s the perfect accompanying dish to go along with the chicken.
To my luck, there is a young man going around the place selling what we called “Ting Ting” candy. The name merely came from the sound they made while knocking down the candy in pieces.
They have 2 versions to choose from, the original ones is in the tray, while the mint version is ready and packed up ready to go.
