Taste all of Malaysia at Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock @ Petaling Street, KL

If you happen to be around the neighbourhood of Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur, perhaps you have noticed about this shop too, like me. The name itself suggested unique combination of Malaysian flavours with the use of the name of 3 major races in Malaysia; Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock.

Think about it, in 1 shop itself, you can get to taste 3 most authentic flavours from 3 major races, namely Nasi Lemak, Naan & Tandoori, as well as their famous Hainanese Chicken Chop.

As you can see in the photo above, the Hainanese Chicken Chop came with a twist, rather the use of conventional mushroom gravy sauce, they chose to use the ketchup-like sauce base added with peas & carrots. This gave a more acidic twist to the dish and you won’t end up feeling jaded.

The shop exterior spot a rolled down blind with their friendly shop sign & name printed. You’ll see a vector illustrated 3 men, dressed look-a-like Malay, Chinese & Indian. The shop interior show vintage, aged look to it. It’s really packed during the lunch hour, so perhaps you might want to visit this place slightly off lunch hours.
