Within just 2 minutes walk from MRT station, Thailand Cultural Centre, it’s located right behind Esplanade Complex Mall. Upon the entrance of this train night market, you’ll be greeted with the Rot’s Bar and hundreds of stalls selling street food snacks and treats, apparels and variety of items you can find good deals on.
It’s much smaller than the one in Srinakarin, but it takes almost an hour or so to explore. It’s however divided into similar zones where you can find food, bars, shopping and activities.
What to eat in Train Night Market Ratchada?
In this train night market, the food section are divided into 3 sois (alley). Within these alleys, you can find variety of food selection, from spicy somtam to cheesy fries and fried bugs and insects, if you would like to try.
Some of the main highlights would be this Noodle Jompalang (gigantic bowl of noodle), where the noodles are eggs noodles, added on with variety of ingredients such as onsen eggs, fishball, stuffed crabs, roasted sweet pork and wantons. If you’re feeling hungry, you can even order more of these ingredients to be added in separately.
The same stall also sells the braised ribs, which is incredibly tender and tasty.
We also ordered this grilled river prawns which is priced at 250 THB, and it’s incredibly fresh and the meat is muscular.
You can also try on this grilled skewer and have variety to choose from, from bacon wrapped asparagus to shitake mushroom. The vendor will then grill on the spot for you.
They also have the scallops for you to choose from, grilled on top of charcoal fire and topped with generous amount of cheese.
The fried chicken, whether is the drumsticks or the chicken fillet, is incredibly tasty and seasoned very well.
I also saw lots of people try on this Briyani Chicken rice, which you can see it’s quite tempting.

After your meal, you can walk around the other sections, finding variety of items from apparels to mobile phone case for you to find good deals on.
They also have plenty of bars at the back part of the market which they have difference themes to it, from bus to van style.
Right in front of this market, sits the most popular bar which is the Rot’s Bar. They have the petrol station theme to it, which you can see this petrol fuel machine sitting at their entrance.
They also have live band performance which is a great to go along while you sip down an ice cold beer.

How to get there: Take the MRT train to station Thailand Cultural Centre. Upon exit, you’ll see Esplanade Mall at your right. From there, you’ll see side walk going into the market and it’s about 2 minutes walk.
